Machete is a program for viewing and editing of video files. Currently, Machete can edit video files in AVI and WMV format. Support of editing functions for other formats is planned for future versions of the program. With Machete, you can play not only AVI or WMV, but some other video file types as well. Editing of a video file is performed without re-encoding. This not only saves time, but also prevents loss of video or audio quality. Also, it means that you would not need powerful and expensive computer to edit your video material. After a file is edited and saved, it retains its original format. This means Machete is an ideal solution for easy and quick "slicing" of your video files: deletion of unnecessary fragments, copying, moving, mixing and saving of individual pieces, as well as joining of video files with the same format.
